since our business includes both on-line and brick and mortar stores, we'd like to promote our annual brick and mortar sales event in our prostores shop. has anyone tried something like this? prostores is optimized for the on-line inventory and we haven't been able to figure out the syntax for a link in prostores that's non-product and simply an html page. any help appreciated, including recommendations for other product alternatives if prostores can't meet our needs.

I spent 8 months at ProStore which prompted me to design my own site and leave as quickly as possible.
Please read their discussion boards. Nothing much has changed. The servers are up and down as they have never been able to "balance the load" or the servers simply were never large enough capacity in the first place.
There are other alternatives if you do not want/need the interface with Ebay. www.instantestore.com for one that offers all you need for $50.00/month including the hosting.
ProStores is a template looking store so why pay more for an unstable server and tech support in FL that do not interface with designers/programmers in CA and all the aggreviation to boot.
I was considered a Sr. Member by the time I left! Nothing got better and I feel that I gave it my best shot with making it work.
I lost precious time that I could have spent getting my site up and running.
Visitors can view the discussion boards there - please do so before leaping.

Dear wcfurrer,
You can use design studio to create new 'user defined' templates.
You can use your standard 'about us' template as a starting point.
We use these all the time and they usually have no product on them.
see these examples:
http://www.dvdtvshows.com/Page.bok?template=links
http://www.dvdtvshows.com/Page.bok?template=shipping_about
Then put links to these pages in the bar on your main page,
example:

Best Wishes,

Some have not had the greatest results from Ebay stores. They can close you down at their whim and without cause.
