I am just about ready to start approaching Drop Shipping Companies about selling various products and such. What I wanted to know, and was hoping to gather some advice/insught about from those with experience, is what to say to them.how to approach them as a NEW venture.
Should I have my website online/available for them to see first?
Is there a helpful "standard pitch" to use in describing a store and/or how the Drop Shipper can/will benefit from starting a relationship with me?
Any online resources available on how to approach this kind of thing?
THANK YOU for any advice/insight you can provide.

If you type in drop shippers in the e-commerceguide.com search box you will find a couple decent articles which may provide some insight. One is an article based on questions about drop shipping that came from this forum. You'll also spot a link to an E-Commerce Techniques article which has some links on the second page worth checking out.
Seriously, I know nothing about drop shipping and I'm still convinced it's a magical secret world - those who have a contact and good info rarely share because the more people using their drop shippers for e-commerce, well obviously the more competition they have.
Good luck! I'll be watching this thread also to see if anyone has the magic answer :)

Some legitimate dropshippers will want to see some type of storefront before dropshipping products 1-by-1 for you, others won't. If you want some reliable info and need a place to find dropshippers, try WorldWide Brands,Inc. They're the best drop ship source directory there is, that's how I started.
