There are so many ways to promote on the internet, like popup, popunder, and e-mails, etc. Some of them are not as effective as the old days, since people have developed the killer or blocker to eliminate them.
That's why we have to follow the trend of online advertising. You may see so many new sites have those animation running around to advertise a specific product. That's the new trend. They can't be killed and they are more effective at the moment.
