Click to See Complete Forum and Search --> : New way to advertise online
Hi all,
I just discover a new way to advertise online. IT's called Popin Ads. The layout is very attractive and the CTR is so high. The best thing is it can't be blocked by softwares.
It really works. A real and quality traffics. Just to let you know more traffic = More sales opportunity.

Note: Not a troll, I'm just offering my opinion...
I have no idea if those sort of things work. However, whenever I visit a site that has pop-unders or pop-ins (especially the popins that block content until you click somewhere), I typically do not visit that site again.
I assume, however, that these tactics work with some people, otherwise nobody would go to the trouble of coding their site with them.

Or I click it, but then close that site immediately as I have no interest to see ad.

Some of our customers have tried popunders / popins etc without too much success in terms of profitability. Meaning, they received plenty of traffic, but converted very little of that traffic into sales. I think that's because many people don't like popup ads of any kind.
I'd recommend you check to see if your popin traffic converts before you decide it's worth paying for that popin traffic.
By the way how are popins different from normal popup ads? How do they get around the popup blockers that most of us use these days?

Where can I find the code to add such PopIn ads to our sites please?
Windows XP SP2 seems to block all pop-ups, even ones which were supposed to get around pop-up blockers.
I would recommend you try the good-old banners. We have had fantastic results with this banner exchange (http://banners.No1Free.com).

JuJu, do be very cautious. You first want to understand the mindset of your preferred customers. If popup, popunder, pop...., etc. ads do not annoy them then go at it. Otherwise, be careful. Most web surfers do not like these kinds of ads, and they draw very negative conclusions about those who do use them.

The opinion of most online marketing experts is that pop-up/under and pop-in ads work. They are very effective at drawing traffic to advertisers' sites. If they didn't work, the biggest websites on the internet wouldn't have used them.
People don't like watching adverts before watching movies at theaters either; neither do they like their television programs being interrupted every few minutes by adverts. But, at the end of the day, they put up with them.
As a business your aim is to make money, not to provide people with free content.
After eight years of working online, I have seen so many online ventures go under because the Mr Nice Guy webmaster was more concerned with providing quality content and a good 'user experience' than generating revenue.
On the other hand, my websites, which make occaisional use of pop-ups and pop-unders, are thriving and generating me significant amounts of money. Of course, the pop-ups are on content-rich pages, where I have articles, reviews etc. which take me and my employees days to research and write, but, at the end of the day, people ignore the advertising we place around the content - the only way to grab their attention is to use pop-ups.

Very simply, the people you target are amenable to popup ads. I never said they didn't. I simply stated many do and some don't. You have used the popup in the best of ways. I wish you continued success.

I haven't used purchased pop-ups on other sites to get traffic, but I have used pop-ups on my own website to increase conversion rates.
If you're trying to build a mailing list or give away a free product that will eventually lead to sales, pop-ups are definitely one of the best ways to get the highest possible conversion rate.
If a float-in pop-up appears on a visitor's screen, offering something 100% free, no-strings-attached, they will take it almost 50% of the time. This will allow you to conduct follow-ups, increasing your chances of making a sale. Without that pop-up, a lot of potential customers could leave your site, never to return.
