I am starting with this little project of mine for some time now. To contact potential affiliates to my site I use different waysone of which is by joining some forums. I noticed that there are forums that seem to be like a Dead Sea. More new threads are coming in but nobody is answering. Where is the forum administrator? Questions raised regarding any problems with affiliate marketing are left unresolved because nobody is there to give possible answers or some good suggestions.

Starting a forum is very difficult. The admin / moderators are not there really to answer questions (although most do) they are there to help delete spam / advertising.
Some forums also have a lot of cliques. And that might be one reason. Another reason might be the way the question is asked. Or it might be the people asking. For example, I am on a lot of Frontpage message boards. And lately there has been a few people posting the same question in the different boards. This can get irritating actually - people volunteer their time to answer questions and then original poster might actually be working on another forum and not come back to that particular forum

Epitome, which forums are you referring to? Are they ours(jupitermedia's)? As Corey said, forum admins aren't generally there to ask questions. For example I administer 30 I.T. based internet forums, ranging in topics from this one's, to every programming and scripting language known to man, and others covering databases and graphics design and creation. If you could find one person who was expert in all those topics, their salary demands would be prohibitive.

Thanks for the info Corey. I am not referring to this site of yours JPnyc, I am talking about others (hope you'll understand if I will not mention the specific name). I shall check on the presence of one or two reasons you have mentioned Corey in that 'dead forum' and see if it can be solved so that it can be as lively as what you have here.
Regarding that programming expert, thanks for the info JPnyc. Now I can give some inspiration to my programmer friend who is just working as a technical support in a call center here in our place and is just receiving centavos every payday.

Of course I understand, I was just wondering if perhaps you may have been referring to one of our 29 other forums involving all aspects of I.T. Since I manage them all, I'm sure you can understand my concern. If any of them aren't running as we would wish them to, I wanna correct it ASAP :)

You just can't imagine how thankful I am to that list you gave me JPnyc. It is so timely because my next project is actually related to photography. Now I will have some expert critics who will check on my work. By the way, my next project is about travel. I want it to be full of life's drama because I want to let our government feel that they are already neglecting their constituents.

Great! I wanted to add it to this site as it is on some others, but there just wasn't room here. I'm so glad it helps (because it was my idea to make it LOL)

Why aren't those forums not in here JPnyc? I'm just asking because they are so nice yet they are not that vailable to others that easily.
