Are these associations worth it? AMA, EMA, etc

I was curious how many of you out there are a member of a profesional assocation such as the Amercian marketing Association or the emarketing association.

Are those two worth joing in your opinion, why or why not.

For those of you who have joined please tell us your reasons for leaving or staying a current member.

For those of you involved in other associations please tell us what they are and your opinion of them.
