Hi,

Recently, i just setup my home networking with a PC and a laptop computer. I am using a wireless router with 4 lan ports (netgear w640 i think). For the PC, i use network cables and for the laptop, i used wireless access. The firewall for the PC (host) is enabled but not for the laptop. I used window XP Professional for the PC and window XP Home Edition for the laptop. I have no problems in accessing the Internet using both of them but when i try to share files between the PC and the laptop, i cannot do it. Windows keeps prompting me that i have no permission to access the PC or the laptop. Can some kindly advice what is happening and how do i go about solving this problem??? Your advice is greatly appreciated

Your problem a simple one. From the computer that you want to have the ability to share files, right-click on the specific file you want to be shared. On the popup menu click on 'properties'. Click on the tab 'Sharing', and make sure the check box next to "Allow network users to change my files" is checked.
