Acrobat Writer - Invalid Installation

384 Meg RAM
Intel PII - 450

I was having a problem with Adobe Acrobat Writer 4 (which has been installed on this machine for 2 years), so I uninstalled it, rebooted and clicked on Setup.exe from the CD ROM. I got the following error message:

"E:\Acrobat4\Setup.exe is not a valid Win32 application"

Well, I know that it is because I installed it originally on Win2000.

Does anyone know why I am getting this error and more importantly, what I need to do to correct it and install the program?

I hope you already have this problem solved but if not this is what I would try. It sounds like that Win2000 is reading the Setup.exe file as corrupt giving you that default error. First try cleaning the cd with a warm wash rag wiping from the center out. Make sure the cd is dry before continuing. Then try the install again.

If that does not work, copy the entire cd to a folder on your desktop and try the install from there.
