All,
We are a bunch of business school students at Berkeley, doing a study on the small business software space.
We would greatly appreciate if you could take this survey, would take 1 min at the most.
Here is the link to the survey.

If you respond quickly, you have a chance to win a set of Coca-Cola product coupons ($25 value).

Good work guys, I feel you should have organized your questions much better the flow of questions ... right now they are lossely coupled and you might not get right results, the survey can be tweaked depending on how and to whom you present the results....
For example:
You need to ask what software do you use for the following activities: Accounting, Inventory Mgmt, Sales & purchases, E-Commerce, CRM, Payroll & Others and each one of them should have pre-defined answers such as "Custom solution", "Home grown", "Branded Vendors", "Unbranded vendors"
Next following question should have been asked do you want to use "All in One" Software? If yes why?
And you should stick to term "business software" rather than "accounting software" coz by stating accounting software you are making it specific remember this survey is all about Business software ...
I liked the attributes abt the software it is very critical? and mostly your answer would be pricing , feature and easy to use
Would you consider owning a software or leasing/renting/subscribe for a software services? and why ? would have been appropriate
If you would like to subscribe for software as a service (SAAS) why? and how much will you be willing to spend?
If you would like to subscribe for software services what concerns you the most and a rating should be provided from 1 to 5, coz obviously privacy, customization, availability are all integral properties of hosted solution but we need to know how customers rate this properties on priority levels
What I understand from this survey you guys are doing is to find out whether you want to show that customers are interested in software as a service (SAAS) model OR whether customer are still in mindset of owning the software and whether it is a burden?
The results would be interesting to watch on how customers are reacting to subscription model for software like cell phones, what kind of pricing model should software industry adapt? Should softwares be a service "always" like Google thinks and should every one adapt to it, moving fwd ....
It is very interesting survey but it all depends what your objective is and how you ask the subjective questions, coz you are dealing with customers from 1 to 100 users and not all of them think alike ....
